You nailed it. I feel totally fine with getting sidetracked in BotW, because it never feels like I’m getting sidetracked. It feels like I’m in a constant state of adventure, and I love it. I’ve already traveled so far, and like you I still have half the map to uncover! And I’m looking forward to it!

That’s awesome, Gita. You’ve got some really cool horses there! I really, really love getting lost in Hyrule, and how the game lets me spend as much time as I want on whatever I set my mind on doing.
I think glitches are my favorite part. Sure, skill/luck clips are cool. But I never find myself grinning at what they offer. Glitches provide more humor than awe.

All of rogueIndy’s advice is good, but it might also help to think of what it is about MM that seems to turn you off. So, I’m going to tell you how I came to get around my initial distaste for MM.
Look up the Reverse Song of Time. It slows the clock, so you’ll have a bit more breathing room to explore the world and experiment with items.
