Yeah, I heard that they had actually made some good hardware later on, but after seeing the crap they made in the 90's and early 2000's, I always ignored anything they put out. I think for a lot of gamers who were buying hardware back then, they had a bad reputation and that’s a hard thing to shake.

I couldn’t fish the last stage in the 90s. I picked up the PSP port about 10 years ago and was able to finish it, but it was tough.

No, Mulder couldn’t finish the stage because he only wanted to believe. It’s like Yoda said, do or do not. If Mulder fully believed, he could have out-rapped Cheap Cheap.

glad its not just me. I remember this one being so hard back in the day and it still is....

Yeah, my 4 year old went through a phase of wanting the blind boxes. Fortunately, she seems to be on the other side of it now. She would watch those stupid videos (which were on Youtube Kids, of course) and would ask every time we went anywhere to go to a store that sold them. We would give in about two times a month

True, I actually don’t even follow Mass Effect and had no idea how long it had been since the last game, let alone development. I was simply responding to people talking about the “they had 5 years and millions of dollars so it should be amazing” line of thinking- which is assuming they were in some form of

5 years to make and a large budget are, many times, indicators of development issues, not development quality. If a game takes 5 years to make vs. 3, its going to be more expensive simply because you have to pay people for a lot longer period of time. It seems like they rushed to get this out because they got it to a

Going to have to grab this. I was never able to finish the last level in Parappa back in the day. The last level always killed me. I found Um Jammer Lammy a bit easier. Hopefully they’ll do a remaster of Lammy, too.

Is still remember the first time I saw that egm issue at a mall book store. I was 14 and I was so pumped to try to discover him. My friends and I had already concluded Sheng Long was some powerful martial artist that Ryu had defeated because of his win quote. A week or so later I bought the issue and studied it

Typical. The red states gravitate to Sombra.

I wonder how wide spread this is. I have one along with 3 friends and one of us have seen this issue so far. I did, a few days ago, put a $10 screen protector on mine, just to be safe- but I would have done that even without the scratched screen reports.

Yeah, the basic idea of the blades weren’t bad, I think the issue they had was they started to get unwieldy after awhile with some of the stuff they wanted (some needed) to be put in them. They basically were limited to 4 (later 5, when the store was added) screens with no scrolling. I do remember a few times it was

Yeah, similar to the 360- remember the “blades” UI when that first launched? It was a far cry from what it had the last few years of existence. Microsoft isn’t afraid to make major changes to the UI, which I do appreciate as long as its for the better. (inserting ads into the UI was NOT one of them).

I usually cut them up and then throw the pieces in multiple places. One or two sets in different bags at home, and one or two sets in another trash can or dumpster somewhere else.

Definitely. I mean, I don’t eve have to say there’s nothing you can’t do- at that age they assume it and this game delivers.

Yeah, but you could even argue what “sticking the landing” is. I mean, there are plenty of games that can be technically flawless, but boring games. I totally see your point, but I guess what I’m saying is- framerates, at least for me, don’t matter as long as the game is still playable and accomplishes what it meant

Ha, I think the original one actually was more accurate. He didn’t get anything extra from the game’s success because of the way he chose to get paid. If it was successful or not, he got nothing more. He did profit off the games, just up front.

Yeah, definitely. My 6 year old started playing Twilight Princess when she was 5 (She started playing the classic Sonic games when she was around 3.5 and progressed from there). She mostly messed around but got the gist of it. She also has been hooked on Breath of the Wild and has done a few shrines by herself and

Yeah, I think I can echo these sentiments. I was about 9 years old when when the original Legend of Zelda came out and I played through it. I definitely get some of the same feelings of exploration (and dying!) that I remember when playing it.

Very cool. In the first example, I wasn’t impressed- but the more I watched, it really blew me away. I played this game for countless hours (especially the SNES version) and seeing some of these combos seemed so weird in their timing because I’ve been trained over the years to think SF2 characters are untouchable
