Totally not defending the physics involved, but I remember playing this on the GC and it wasn't quite as noticeable. I think, since in 2002, most people were playing the game in standard def interlaced TVs using composite cables, they exaggerated it so it was noticeable at all. I remember playing the game back then

Honest question, how many people would prefer handholding tutorial levels to being forced to discover things on your own?

There are others, like me, who play a game to be something I'm not.

Ok... I see everyone bring up Ninja Gaiden as an example of a tougher game, but everyone seems to have forgotten Battletoads. At least you get unlimited continues with Ninja Gaiden.

at least Ninja Gaiden 1 & 2 give you unlimited continues. Ninja Gaiden 3 only gave you like 3 continues. That and Battletoads are brutal.

Yep, its their lack of support on older titles is the one thing that might keep me from picking one up- especially because they have the technology to allow it. PS1 compatibility is all software so that should be there already. I'm also disappointed that Playstation Now isn't being tapped for backwards compatibility

I remember by holding down certain buttons, you could get the T. rex to slide forward without walking with his mouth hanging open. I remember laughing way too hard at that.

I have Xbox One and Wii U. I picked up the Xbox One instead of the PS4 because of the TV integration as I thought that would be useful to my non-gaming wife who is home all day with 2 young kids.

Jam Handy produced this short, riffed by MST3K:

So its understandable to get death threats if you give an opinion?

that's funny, because I feel its the exact opposite. As someone who has been gaming since the Atari days (although, the NES was when I was really old enough to get into games more), I feel narrative is focused on A LOT more than it ever was. Sure, there are always exceptions (RPGs). Because the amount of time involved

It's a shame to lose one's head.

I was half-expecting the Thelma and Louise ending.

it's because they want to test server loads for the online component. Doing a limited set allows them to slowly test server loads to see what kind of final server setup they'll need for launch.

I think a lot of the people who are saying they should just release the public demo or the whole game now don't understand one thing. By limiting access they can test how well the servers are going to react to online multiplayer. You start small and scale up from there. The slow approach will hopefully ensure that we

wow, just checked and mine came over an hour ago. They're definately going by 2013-2014 platinum status and not the current year. I'm not even close this year.

Fun Fact: Chubby Checker's real name? Ernest Evans.

I was disagreeing with you all the way until the last sentence. That would be a goldmine. The sheer comedic value alone would warrant a purchase from TONS of people. Being able to capture and share moves and fights with custom moves would be YouTube gold.

I had some of these as a kid, and I'm more excited about these than reissuing the old ones all over again. I think they look pretty great.
