The show was fun when it kept the original Top Gear format and actually went on tour in the tent. Everything good in the film versions could have been condensed down into shorter segments in the regular format.

Counter counter point: The OT story all came from a single creator/source. Lucas wrote a multi movie treatment that was at least the foundation of the trilogy, and was obviously involved throughout to craft the story. The Sequels were creatively disjointed and ultimately had writers that explicitly opposed choices…
