I use three different libraries for most of my research, so I've set up a workflow for each of them to save catalogue information for books in the Notes app, which (thanks to iCloud syncing) is then available on my phone when I get to the library so I can go straight to the right shelf.

A workflow (saved as a service) that I use quite regularly is one that displays the Wikipedia page of the artist currently playing in Spotify as a website popup - I assigned it a keyboard shortcut to run in all applications so I can call it up whenever I hear something that interests me on a playlist.
