1440p can not make a 144p game any sharper than it was at 144p when it came out.

Just put about 10 cents worth of pennies and some hot glue inside the controller and it won’t feel cheap any more.

Every time a company greenlights a game they are calculating a rate of return based on how much they are going to spend on labor costs over the time it takes to develop the game. The company then begins to literally bleed money throughout production. It will always be in the company’s best economic interest to push

It would be better to focus on things like benefits, job security, retirement, working conditions, overtime, safety, and annual raises, not on salary, otherwise they risk alienating people who believe in meritocracy like you say.

Sorry I guess I am blending the software industry with gaming industry with things like crunch, but as far as being valued, status, pay, expendability, working hours, productivity expectations, there are problems everywhere. But yeah it is the software industry workforce‘s responsibility to sure up their weakest

Stop trying to tell them that the pie will be bigger for everyone if they unionize. They don’t care. That’s not what they’re about. There are just people out there who would rather earn less money if it means they earn more than their co-worker. That doesn’t mean you can’t appeal to them in other ways.

I think it’s possible to appeal to these types of people, you just need the right argument. Us vs. them, for example. Appeal to their intelligence, that it would be stupid to bring a knife to a gunfight. Deference to expertise, that they wouldn’t go to court without a lawyer. Paternalism, they have a duty to protect

They are trying to speak to the people who think that they can get a bigger piece of pie on their own, or even worse, that unionization will mean they only get the same size pie as people they are better than. It’s a smart argument because a lot of people think this way, especially conservative-types.

If any industry needs unionization it is software development. They are underpaid and overworked. They are forced to live in some of the most expensive cities in the country but only given modest salaries. They are crunched. They literally have an industry-wide cycle that consists of being worked doggedly for months

Thats why the key is to INTERPRET a live action adaptation, not TRANSLATE an anime to live action. How can they possibly translate Chopper to live action? They can’t, but that doesn’t mean they can’t have a character based on chopper.

Just because there have been awful attempts at live action anime doesn't mean it can't work, it just hasn't worked the way it's been done.  I knew death note would be trash because the director made some interview where he said he "wouldn't be afraid of embracing anime tropes" like violence and blood.  So this guy

Cancel Activision/Blizzard!

Man if everyone donated their WoW subscription fees, hearthstone packs, and yearly call of duty money to this fund we could probably support them for a long while. It's time to pay back the people who actually made the games you enjoy.

It’s not really being driven into the ground though. I mean, gamers in general are downright terrible at exercising any political/consumer power and generally they tend to take what they are given. Not that long ago online gaming was free. Sony sugarcoated the poison of paid online by giving away free games with each

OP actually contrasted the actual free offering from Epic versus the playstation “free”. So it’s somewhat unclear if you do in fact get it. Playstation Plus costs money, and I think you are being unduly hopeful that people on the internet can make the distinction when a respected journalist is calling it “free”.

Wish more video game consumers and more people on this site in particular would see things your way.

I think they could make it look cool

They have some nice big screens on there but even on sale like $3k

They have some nice big screens on there but even on sale like $3k

But the Wii u includes a GameCube and switch though

That would be 75% off if they typed 25% of $10
