That's because they don't know enough to know what they're getting themselves into. If they did, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't bother either. In situations like this people like to try to portray avid gamers as a small group when it really isn't, and the fact is, avid gamers are your target market. When you're pushing

They're delusional. Kotaku already did a poll. like 70~% negative. I haven't seen one poll yet that's been lower than like 65-70~% negative tbh.

1. N/A. I shouldn't feel obligated to log in. Over 1/4 of North Americans do not have the internet.I often travel to places without wifi or where people can't afford internet. I shouldn't be unable to bring my console with me because it won't work when it's not connected.

Yeah, I'm waiting for Starbound as well. It's going to be so amazing.

Very much so in my opinion. There's been so many additions. You should check the wiki out to see all the cool stuff they've added. There's too much for me to list!

Well mate, so far Microsoft has redacted the online only used games concept apparently, as Larry Hryb (from Microsoft of course) wrote, “While there have been many potential scenarios discussed, today we have only confirmed that we designed Xbox One to enable our customers to trade in and resell games at retail.", and

That's what I was thinking too (despite the fact he says he's "worked in entertainment" lol). My point wasn't so much as to badmouth him but to point out that that's what those people actually believe. They think DRM is a good thing. And could care less about used games. It's just so selfish. They, just like

Agreed with you there man. Music and video games are my only real hobbies. It just feels messed up that they're excluding such a large demographic. Can you believe that some guy on here had the gall to say this to me when I complained about features no one asked for, and about the online requirement and used games

Actually I hadn't read it yet. But the fact remains. The economy is in the hole. Most people can't afford 60$ games frequently. Hence the entire reason used games are preferable. 90% (if not more) of my games are used, and not because I like secondhand goods either.

Sure I do rofl. That's crazy enough right there. I mean seriously, not everyone can afford to pay for internet, let alone new games constantly, and if I'm paying that much for a console, I would want one I can use regardless of internet. You know what I mean? They're just being inconsiderate in excluding so many

That's the worst part. The recession is still in full swing. I don't know how they expect this to work out positively for them.

Right. And what's bad is then the 1% start acting like the 99% are exaggerating for complaining. It's crazy.

Yeah. It's just like 9/10 of the features 9/10 of the users won't be interested in lol. I hope they do change their minds, but man, if not, they're really gonna be hurting. because if they really don't make much cash off the consoles alone, then they are gonna be fucked on release day when consoles aren't moving. I

Exactly. That's all I have to say, seriously. I agree with everything you just said. It's like their target audience is rich urban Americans. That's a terrible business idea lol.

Yeah. Idk, I guess my hope remains for the Playstation because the PS2 was a pretty decent console, and my hope never wavered for PC since I'm a PC/Xbox gamer anyhow (or was!) But yeah, Nintendo desperately needs to make a comeback. All they really have now is a history of some of the best games imo. Great handhelds

Exactly! See, you understand what it's all about. And same here, I mean I'm sure the Playstation is a decent system, I had a PS2 and stuff, but Idk, I just liked my Xbox. And lol, I'm not a fan of the controller either. It's not the worst thing ever, but the Xbox 360 controller (and hell, even the original "fat"

Microsoft's Twitter, Microsoft Support, and a few different articles with interviews from Phil Harrison. Like I said though, the entire "Microsoft Store" thing is still only a concept. But it's the concept they are considering, which is bad. What's funny about Microsoft's Twitter is their conflict with other stories.

The thing is man, We still have hope for Sony. Hopefully they'll learn something from Microsoft's unveiling. If they don't? Oh well. I'll be investing into a new PC instead, and I'll personally be making my swap to the PC Master Race. lol.

Yeah. I just really wanted like an Xbox 360 + you know? I wanted better graphics, better games, etc.. Not some shitty entertainment box with loads of intrusive DRM and features no one asked for! I can understand being optimistic, but the Intrusive DRM killed it for me 100%. I've dealt with intrusive DRM like this

You obviously haven't read too much into this mate. They are cutting out reselling of games. You can only resell games to them, through their online store. You aren't even selling the CD, just your rights to the game. Look at any other monopolized online store, old games are still absurdly expensive.
