Don't forget BRATVA GUY.
The Ant: Man.
It's sure better than the X-Files was in Season 9. I LOVED the X-Files, but man.
Yeah, I see that reading, but I feel like it was both poorly articulated and poor drama in the show. The cut made it seem like Metatron had an actual plan, and that something really interesting was going on, and then Metatron turned out to be haphazardly eliminated by his own flaws. I see that that's what they were…
Wow. That's ridiculous. I thought I must have missed something. There were so many ways to handwave taking down Metatron that weren't so stupid.
Maybe. Which means that they aren't really plotting out the season, which would explain a lot about this season. They should actually plan what they're doing beforehand so this stuff doesn't happen.
Wow, that's even worse than I thought. Did they just introduce the tablets as powerful in themselves this episode? I think my brain has just stopped processing the continuity errors.
It was definitely poor placement, but they waited until ep 10(?) to even get to what was apparently the main focus of the season, the Mark of Cain. They wasted a lot of time on Gadreel groundwork for that, then did a bunch of mediocre episodes after it. They didn't even use their mythology episodes well— Meta Fiction…
They're a really dense lot. I don't really know why Cas would be good at being an angelic leader, outside of being more or less autonomous (which we've seen other angels do in the past, like Gabriel and Balthazar).
Eh. there were a lot of wheel spinning episodes. They just completely messed up the pacing this season.
Yeah. Angels used to be otherworldly and superpowerful. I miss cool angels.
JVDBsVkngFnrl. Followed!
What ended up happening to the souls? What did Death think about that whole situation? What did angels ever do in heaven? It clearly doesn't matter that they haven't been doing it for a season. Hell has a system of demons that entice humans to do things/whatever and report to superiors. Why did Metatron need the…
DO IT. Do you have twitter? LIVETWEET IT.
I really like this because it fits in with Supernatural's themes about how power corrupts (and how the deals they make with higher powers are never fair). Power has a price. SPN showed Sam learning this in season 4. Dean makes a nice counterpoint to Cas, too, this season. Cas tried to rule heaven and increase his…
Apparently they don't get cell service in heaven. Too bad.
Yeah, even though they're nominally "Sam plotlines," they're usually about Dean's reaction and personal drama stemming from that. Sam is usually the one being possessed/desouled/whatever, while Dean generally gets the character work.
A self interested metatron with the ability to control or influence people through writing could have been some fun one-offs. Sigh.
You are assuredly not the only one. I've been rewatching Angel alongside this, and it's more or less it.
