Yeah but this looks like its spec’ed more or less the same to me.  Bigger rims, more street oriented tires, hood scoop.  Certainly not lowered like the old XRunner.

Ally used to be GM’s captive. When the old GMAC got sold off during bankruptcy, it ended up becoming Ally. GM used them for a bit, then they bought Americredit, and launched GM Financial. Ally was left to sort of twist in the wind but focused on their strengths with domestic truck and mid-credit which led to a big expa

I mean they do have the TRD Sport Tacoma, which is more or less the same thing.

This is just the cow version of me making my rescue dog watch the sad Sarah McLaughlin ASPCA commercials.

Yup.  I’m in the business and I can’t get my employee pricing right now.  I’ve had a number of friends start asking me about discounts right now.  I’ve told them all the same thing: if your concern is getting the best price, now is not the time to buy.

Imagine trying to run a deep fryer on a plane.

Mine was an 06 sedan, 4cyl 5 speed, LX “Special Edition” so basically an EX without a sunroof.  First brand new car I ever bought, I think I paid about 18k for it.   Had everything I needed as a 21 year old commuter student with a part time job, got great mileage, drove well, and felt really sporty if I drove it back

Someone in my neighborhood got one and I have to say, it looks really sharp in person. 4 door in the flat-ish gray with a softop. Black steel wheels with some all terrains. Hits a sweet spot for basic but still capable that most Wranglers (read: sport and sahara models on street tires) seems to somehow miss.

I was gonna say isn’t almond production ridiculously high in water useage? To the point The Good Place made almond milk an automatic sentence to the bad place?

Better in your yard than on your plane.

Sir Mix a Lot

We need some remakes of Convoy and Smokey and the Bandit, as well as more songs about ramblin’ to re-romanticize trucker culture. That will solve the shortage.

Congrats on naming his next album

Buying a dealership is generally a safe way to generate a good return on the piles of cash athletes end up with. Thats why many do it at some point in their career. Their name goes on it for the association, they get to make the cash, but are pretty uninvolved in operations.

If I want seriously nice, I’ll stay at the Hoodoo in Moab and hit the trails during the day.  That was a great trip and I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

I get the benefits of them. I’m a 4x4 guy and love going camping but my wheeling tends to be a little more extreme than the overlander stuff.

Jeep.

Rooftop tents are dumb

I kinda miss low RWD sport trucks, but this ain’t it.
