I suspect a large portion of these cuts are for the better but I don’t trust this administration to avoid cutting stuff that we actually do need so I can’t say I feel good about it.

So... what makes them our enemy as opposed to the enemy of the country that’s marching with them? I’m genuinely curious.

My Uncle did the boot thing at a different store, buying one pair and returning it every few years. In his version of the story, he was the hero, the store the villain, and he was pissed “This is the 4th time I’ve returned these boots and this pair barely lasted 2 years!”

On the flip side, I’ve been in situation where I’m not a regular and suddently start getting stuff comped, which I saw as essentially a scam to steal from one’s employer which I’m now a part of. I gave an extra tip but felt very uncomfortable with the whole situation.

Yeah, I didn’t truly understand the phrase “how much justice can you afford” until I experienced it first hand.

This is good advice. On the flip side, I’ve also taken a few apps which used to have push notifications such as Facebook and replaced it with a badge icon. I’m not ready to completely turn off these notifications yet but I don’t want to be interrupted by them.

The fact that this guy lost fair and square and goes to Twitter to post a flagrantly misleading rant (he implies that the winner was solely decided by a coin flip, not that the flip was used due to a tied vote) is probably a clue to why he failed to gain the respect of enough of his peers to become the flag bearer.
