I’m not sure you can call this a trend when it has existed as long as technology has. I also think you’re on the wrong website if you don’t want to hear about technology that isn’t already in a store.

If I were a betting man I’d say they outbid one of their rivals for it to avoid losing access to the billboards. Seems like a strange move for them otherwise.
My guess is it’s like when someone does a fairy tale remake but doesn’t have the rights to the Disney stuff so everything seems a little off. Although 95% of the stuff is probably faithful enough to the book descriptions, there is probably some stuff where the viewer would be like, “why does the eye of Sauron look…
“One does not simply spend$1 Billion on the Silmarillion.”
Good point, anytime you see a group of people skilled at tossing frisbees, you know you’ve got some brainiacs on your hands!
I think you give him too much credit. He hears something the way he wants to hear it and repeats it to serve his interests with a total abandon for accuracy.
I really don’t think it is that complicated. If you see 20 movies for $100, movie theaters are better off than if you see 5 movies for $50 since the extra 15 seats probably would have just been empty and maybe you also buy 15 more Jujufruits. MoviePass facilitates the former scenario, which is a win-win for everyone,…
Keep in mind, the article chose not to “cooperate with any of these post-capitalistic marketing gimmicks” by actually describing how the product works, so if you actually want to understand the point of it product you need to read the kickstarter page.
The Kickstarter page says the idea is that it self corrects if thrown wrong and that by descending more than a typical frisbee it is easier to catch. I think basically if you are good at throwing a frisbee it will be worse but if you are bad it will be better, so everyone can participate.
I think an unfortunate side effect of the amount of bullshit we’re inundated with daily is that many people have developed their own arbitrary definition of what a “chemical” is and have developed their own system for avoiding them.
I think it’s nice to have when you want it, especially when you’re focused on the screen and just want to make a quick click or scroll without breaking focus to interact with the keyboard or mouse, or when you’re with a second person who would otherwise be pointing at the screen so you can click on the thing they…
“99 of the Best LA Restaurants. Number 17 will make you organize a boycott to take down our corrupt benefactors!”
The most shocking thing about this is the way the Huffington Post made Ashley bury the lede. Sad!
This seems like a useless study to me. They needed to take a group of parents and randomly assign half to use these apps, the selection bias here has got to be overwhelming.
Their position is valid, but I disagree that halting private development of weapons of war in this country will make anyone safer.
The Significant Other Game - The game series your partner likes to play so you promise not to play without them, which sometimes means letting a game you’re dying to play sit waiting for them to get in the mood to play.
I’ve gone from a company with too many meetings to a company with not enough. I feel like I sit at my desk all day emailing people I barely recognize if I happen to pass them in the hall. Be careful what you wish for!
My Birthday is in November and my parents gave me Mario 64 one year, it being decided that they were teaming up with my grandma to get me a N64 for Christmas. I spent hours reading that manual, memorizing every move, and dreaming of playing the game until I finally got my N64. When I think back the excitement I felt…
Yes, but the technology to scan the brain to the point where it would be of any use doesn’t exist yet.
