An equally cynical but competent politician could have at least make some pretense for the gesture, comparing this victory to the victory the first responders will have or some shit. Just dedicating it to people who are fucked is asinine.

I think there is a difference between the indifference you are describing and having strong feelings that don’t take into account the fact that a real person is dealing with a serious medical issue.

I agree, they either need to put up nets or ban children from those seats. I also agree that banning children from part of a ballpark is incredibly stupid, and I find it hard to believe the economic impact would be less than netting.

It was a double bluff. He tried to look so disinterested that the defender assumed he was definitely trying to fool him and was about to run a route. /s

At this point, I am basically a professional mindless web browser who does some marketing on the side.

This is just one man’s opinion, but I watch alot of football and that hit made me feel sick. I won’t be watching any football this weekend simply because I can’t enjoy it while thinking about that play.

Example: I’m at work and I want to switch from the slow WiFi to faster cellular data so I turn off WiFi. With the old system, I click WiFi, it turns off, and once I leave work I need to remember it back on. With the new system, I disconnect from the network but my WiFi is still on so when I get home it will still

I seem to be in the minority here, I love this feature. 90% of the time when I use these toggles, what I really want is “disconnect from that thing” so I find this convenient in that I don’t need to remember to turn it back on later.

For the most part, the measures that have been either taken or recommended to fight the “opioid crisis” have focused on getting physicians to prescribe fewer opioids. But since about 2010, deaths from opioid overdose are fairly flat.

I think this is a smart move. Diplomacy is a delicate thing, especially between adversarial nations, and an additional 140 characters will allow more nuanced dialogues between world leaders which could prevent wars and save lives.

As a former teammate of Derek Rose, this is a feeling he knows all too well.

I have reread the article and I honestly don’t know where that is coming from. The 80 degree temperatures are referenced without comment and people who wanted to drink water. Maybe the guy who put “HOT” in all caps?

What would you say is the minimum temperature where it is acceptable to drink water while sitting in the sun? I don’t want to make the same mistake Pats fans did and could benefit from your insight.

what would you do to change it?

You’re comment doesn’t address what I am saying at all. Yeah, the 10 second runoff is unfair. That doesn’t take away the fact that a 5 second runoff is also not fair.

Make it a 5 second runoff in this specific case where a call by the officials is the purpose of the clock stoppage.

Changing the run off to 5 seconds would be a start.

I think you’re incorrect in assuming the runoff is intended as a punitive measure. I believe it is reasonable to interpret the rule as not intended to favor either side. Unfortunately, it is impossible to be truly neutral here. If they get to run a play, they have benefited from the review. If they don’t, then the

Are there examples of a team running a play in less than 10 seconds in a similar situation? (This isn’t a snarky rhetorical questions, I’m genuinely hoping someone can provide YouTube evidence).
