The silver lining is, while (if I’m being honest) the show is still very engaging, I am still eagerly awaiting the books because of how different the story will surely be.

I actually liked the book quite a bit, but the mini-series was horrible. Like, it was literally the worst TV series I have ever watched.

I remember watching him on Monday Night Football as a rookie, and Gruden was selling the Bortles thing so hard (“Blake Bortle, Blake Bortles, Blake Bortles...”) that I was instantly turned off and never looked back.

The TV show wasn’t bad, but if you’re interested in the book read it first. IMO they made a few changes that really took away from the depth of the main characters, so better to read the book first and not have them tainted.
