Leave Serena out of this.

Can someone explain why this comment has so many stars?

Almost certainly just about NBC being obsessed with gymnastics and Simone Biles.

How does this get out of the greys?

We literally just saw the medal ceremony for Simone Biles. Does she count as black or naw?

My thoughts exactly. Thank god they did not use this ending where the old lady threatens and manipulates everyone and basically gives a big fuck you to her granddaughter who has been taking care of her for several years.

THANK YOU. “It’s romantic!” YEAH OR IT COULD HAVE BUILT LIKE TWENTY FUCKING HOSPITALS, ASSHOLE.

SNL did a pretty on-point critique of this ending back in they day, making the pretty strong argument that Old Rose is pretty much an awful person for secretly hoarding a priceless diamond necklace all the while living with (and presumably being cared for by) her granddaughter, whom I imagine could’ve used the money.

Right Rose, throw it overboard. Don't, you know, give it to your granddaughter who's been taking care of you or anything.

Wow, turns out there was a dumber way for them to end it.

also a guy yells “THAT REALLY SUCKS, LADY!” at rose

Old Rose gets caught trying to throw the necklace overboard. She chats with Bill Whichever one he is, he holds the necklace, and then Old Rose throws it over her shoulder like a fucking asshole.

Having access to a shared lounge isn’t necessarily the same legally as having a your gender only space.

Eh...don’t think many people are being assaulted in study spaces. If you were talking about a place where someone who had been assaulted could go that was free of men that’d be one thing, but a study space?

Fair enough, it seems like your definition of “double-standard” is different than how I’ve come to understand the term.

How is comparing a male-only space to a female-only space disingenuous when we’re talking about a federal law that states:

I like this idea:

No, I got the point, hypocrite.

Yeah I think the key here might be also making a male-only study space if that’s what they were going for, right?

Wait, so are you saying that because there are greater issues with violence against women, that men being banned from a public space which could violate a federal law, is not an issue that should be addressed?
