You must be fun at parties.

It’s not the new normal. This has always been this way, it’s just that we have cameras now.

Or maybe, they are realists who understand that refusing to interact with or have any ounce of respect for their political opponents is not how meaningful change can happen in the world. It’s not how issues are solved. Maybe they understand that having an intense hatred of anyone who disagrees with you is ultimately

I can only assume this article was written because Jordan Sargent’s world would just collapse if it turned out that, gasp, maybe Michelle Obama though she disagrees with many of GWB’s policies and decisions as president might actually have a friendly relationship with him and might not think he’s Satan.

I’ve always wondered, does “dickish” have sexist connotations?

So I guess the officers THOUGHT he had a gun, but he didn’t? And we’re just waiting to see proof that he didn’t?

So either he did have a gun, and the officers were telling him to drop it and it didn’t happen, so they shot him.

Lovely.

jesus christ, learn how to use “a” vs “an” properly.

There’s a difference between pushing through meaningful change and scoring cheap political points or writing hot takes for pageviews on Gawker. I’m surprised you can’t tell the difference. Oh well! Thanks for your constructive sarcastic dialogue :)

I’m NOT an MRA!

You’re close, but the point of my “very good and constructive” (thank you!) comment is that people use these tragedies to push personal agendas and score political points. Which is what I expect to happen here, and nothing will change.

What is the actual point you’re trying to make here?

You’re right, you didn’t directly blame a boy... but you implied that this wouldn’t have happened if not for a disagreement over a boy (which you assume is the case having zero information about the events - AT ALL). Therefore making it completely gendered for no reason.

No, no, we gotta assume that somehow boys are involved here, they HAVE to be.... let’s just focus on toxic masculinity even if we have no idea what the situation is. That’s what’s most important.

I like how one girl shoots another girl and you still find a way to blame boys for it.... as if that even matters at this point.

Alright everyone, make sure to queue up your narratives... be sure to only focus on one issue, when the reality is that school shootings are the result of many issues:

Who?

I’m genuinely curious, do you believe this would be problematic had she been writing it about idk Brad Pitt?

Nothing in my comment was about Swifts dismissal specifically, which I agree is a gray area.
