Certainly, but it’s male desire you’re commodifying. His desire is what is being objectified. You have to create desirable heroes, and then you have to show them desiring the heroine. That goes for any heroine, though, no matter who she is or what she looks like. You have to show the hero wanting, wanting, wanting.

Have you seen the ones that look like video game character screenshots? Lawdy.

Ugh. Merry Gentry isn’t as bad as Anita Blake, by the same author, but seriously...that author is the worst. She is *thoroughly* mocked everywhere. Ignore her.

What I usually see is that if it’s m/f, there’s the highest chance there was an actual photo shoot done, i.e. there’s touching. Just BBW romance, or are you looking for a sampling of what’s going on in erorom these days?

Fangirlin’!

If you’re sincere about understanding the romance genre, you should try embracing these tropes.

I have been waiting for the bros who cannot tolerate happy fat women to discover BBW romance, but then realized that would require them to actually read. I think it's safe!

No, please don’t do that. You handled this perfectly. I think a lot of folks aren’t reading through before they respond to you, but we can see the whole story. Please keep posting. I like you.

Well I know what I’m doing this weekend. Assuming this show is on Netflix.

I’m torn.

Ugly sobbing.

That’s when I broke.
