And being an incredibly powerful and wealthy woman instead of a broke teenager.

Well first, you'd need to compare late 70s Rochester MI to late 70s NYC.

Uh, yeah. That's how I know there's no telling where things will pick back up. Ted could be divorced and back in NYC, for example. That's just how this how rolls. Nothing presented onscreen so far would interfere with that or any other change in any other relationship. It is really strange to latch onto a relationship

I wasn't certain you realized, since you seem to believe that girlfriends are permanent fixtures. The only reason Stan and Peggy wouldn't happen is that the whim doesn't strike Weiner just right. There is nothing presented onscreen that matters one way or the other.

Whether or not it happens has nothing to do with Stan having a girlfriend. This is Mad Men. Plus, if Weiner decides Stan doesn't have a girlfriend then he doesn't. It's a tv show.

Right? The youngest was ten.

I'd say it's 50/50. I think he's known what he was going to do there since season five.

Look, the wedding edit is just a joke. But yeah, I think Weiner has about an equal chance of revisiting that relationship as not. Not in response to fans, but because it was his idea first. He won't let fans shift him off plan.

I don't think this qualifies as a fan meme, since the makeout scene, at least.

The only thing that matters tbh

I actually agree with you, but I also think that a guy like Aziz...his transformation should be able to survive fifteen minutes of "Hmm ok but..." from strangers online. A crucial element of the modeling he seems to sincerely want to do for other members of his dominant group is listening to people, in this case

They do. And it isn't like a club of people with a hobby or other interest that comes together. It is a club that forms for the specific sake of having people to socialize with. So it isn't like other clubs that just happen to also give members a social outlet. It really IS paying for friends.

I'd forgotten about the orgasms during rape thing...yes, very important. And I just now realized the reason why, as an adult, I never didn't know that was possible. This is why. This is where I learned that fact.

I think that we miss the importance of grappling with rape in those earlier historical romances, though.

Thank you, Bertrice Small. Were it not for your presence in my Aunt Earline's bookshelves in the mid 1980s, it would've been years before I learned about dildos and lesbians and bestiality and anal, much less had such an early formative experience that instructed me that a heroine could totally just bang one dude

Because it was originally cheating on both sides, and even though her husband knows now, it's still cheating on the other end. This isn't polyamory or swinging. Nobody involved here cares about honesty and informed consent.

Yeah, since he caught her cheating his acquiescence may simply be about being afraid and feeling like he has no choice. She'd either leave him or keep cheating. At least this way he gets back some measure of control over his life.

Well...female serial killers are also committing less detectable crimes. They're exploiting their roles as caretakers, which of course means their victims are those who require care. It's easy to conceal those murders as natural deaths, so it is understandable it takes longer for authorities to even realize crimes

I'm unsure how you've managed to go on, having lived the dream already.

Aww! Poor you!
