You still miss the point. A lot of these players WOULDN'T be in six figure debt because A) most of these are state schools with lower tuition and B) Many wouldn't have gone to college anyway C) As such, many aren't equipped to deal with a college courseload, especially given their full time job of FOOTBALL, rendering

The NCAA's tax exempt status is explicitly reliant on amateurism but I'm sure that has nothing to do with it.

It should be noted that the APU campaign is calling for a number of reforms to the college football system, not just paying players.

Ask a student body member with thousands of dollars of debt at graduation how they feel about a student-athlete saying they should be paid?

And somewhere in Tennessee, Koko B. Ware weeps.

I hate Michael Irvin because of he still makes lots of money and I'm stuck commenting on his videos.

Based on this picture, I thought they were protesting the Academic Progress Rate for the NCAA, which wouldn't make too much sense coming from a Georgia Tech player, right?

I think the most fundamental problem I have with D1 college sports, TV deals, and the NCAA is that the athletes and their parents have no ability to negotiate or bargain. People who argue against athletes being compensated talk about the privilege of playing or say that the scholarship is compensation enough. It's

"DOMINOE, WITH AN E. GEORGIA TECH."

At least the A&M band will get to retalliate at halftime.

Seeing this picture in this apartment I fully expect the next picture to have Mrs. Goosby tucking in Mays ala Jake Blues as the L-trains rumble by.

This might have something to do with it.

Is the Bears' "C" supposed to be a nose ring? :-/

Is everyone on this thread really THAT oblivious to a Blackhawks reference, or merely critical of the logo element and/or placement? I'm really hoping it's the latter.

...like MJ, that's the point

I am not going to watch this, and I wish horrible things upon those who made it.

totally bangs coanchor

More like Buster's rape whistle.

This is the downside to hiring a college coach. In college your power goes unchecked and you can play these stupid childish games with your players and get away with it (since your players have no leverage over you). In the NFL you're dealing with grown-ass men, just be upfront with them where they stand. Schiano

When reached for comment, his brother/agent, Huey, refused comment and called Ronald Reagan the devil.
