1st Gear: Tesla’s Q3 Win

Q3 was a gimmick designed to stabilize Tesla pre-merger. They need to raise more cash and are using the Q3 profit gimmick to do so. Musk himself said this in an email:

Plot twist: this was supposed to be a Raptor and the seat was the only correct item.

I remember a number of years ago, a co-worker bought a new GMC Sierra that mistakenly had a Chevy emblem on the tailgate. Not sure if it would have been the wrong emblem or wrong tailgate. Neither he or the dealership noticed until someone else pointed it out to him.

And you need to track what seat is actually in the truck. If there’s a recall on Raptor seats, and this is not included in the recall and the driver dies from it, Ford would be in trouble.

If he got a Raptor, he ain’t poor. However, he may very well still be a bastard.

Dear lord, this still happens?! When I worked at a Ford/Lincoln/Mercury dealer, we got an Escape with Mariner tail lights once, and an Escape that said V6 on one side and Hybrid on the other.
