Is this ‘bad advice wednesday’ or something?

A welded diff is a really good way to find yourself in a lot of trouble very fast on the street. I’ve seen peoples’ 4x4s on their roof because they left lockers engaged on the street. It’s unsafe and a really bad idea on public roads.

This is a bunch of blatantly unsafe horseshit. Shame on Jalopnik for even floating the idea to your readers that this should EVER be done.

What seems to be the problem?

You know the easiest way to get more torque? Smaller tires!

Just keep repeating it to Siri. Apple probably stores that data, their bound to get the message sooner or later.

wait a minute. does it not make full power in AWD on the dyno cuz it thinks its doing an EPA cycle? I dont get why when every other AWD car will work on an AWD dyno...

That seems to be the ecoboost way. The standard ford ecu programming really tunes to balance HP and torque at the expense of torque (justifiably so, since the cars are light and just spin the front tires). Both the focus and the fiesta with just a filter and tune gain a little HP and a LOT of torque.

It has enough power to put you into a wall if you act stupid. That’s all anyone needs to know.

Don’t worry. Farah will complain because he paid 40k for a car that doesn’t out perform every super car produced in the world. Of course he will also tell us all to “adjust” our perspectives afterwards as he brushes his teeth with a golden tooth brush.

That comment was real good and Imma letchu finish, but come on now. DonVanSin’s comment in the dual shifter dodge thread is the #COTD hands down.

Wait...did he win or did I win?

5.0/5.8 Would ride hard and put away wet.

I award that comment a 4.6 out of a 5.0.

Are we there yet?

i think this year will see the highest votes for non republican/democrat persons.

How awesome that we get to hear your political views here on this car website!

Just for reference Austin Self and his father Tim Self are very active in racing in Texas and Tim self actually owns a local track in Austin TX that keeps grass-roots racing alive in our area. Austin is a very well-spoken and polite young man and Tim is by all counts a pleasant person to deal with and is active in

oh pfft.. like anyone ever made it past 4 or 5 commandments before getting bored of reading and turning on the telly
