He's pretty much A list these days, and while he might not rake in millions for a V.O role it's still several hundreds of thousands of dollars. Any SAG actors gets a minimum of 250,000 for a movie role. Not chump change.

This is highly unusual. You don't pay an A list actor to record a performance twice. Not unless you A: Want to throw away millions of dollars or B: Really are backed into a corner and are willing to pay millions more to hopefully fix his performance.
