@Danza: Why should the games differ from the console which is, in itself, the fifth generation rehash of the Nintendo DS.

@MonickerManiac: Nice 2Ds behind the 3DS... just saying.
@tipTI: Just Microsoft and Sony? Nintendo has been doing it for years... well sort of. They certainly have pushed the life of the DS well beyond the average for any Gameboy.
@Zing: "You killed me... and I... well I guess I haven't killed you yet. Food for though."
The iPhone was able to launch with a huge following thanks to the iPod hype. The SDK launched on March 6th, 2008, just under a year after the iPhone's initial launch, but that doesn't necessarily coincide with apps on the iPhone as jailbreakers existed way before then installing apps.
Wow... I don't know why, but this is the first app that I have seen for the iPad that makes me really want one.
@Souperbole: Get off the internet.
@Sent from my toilet: It needs to be at least... three times this size!
@dgstan: I'm not so sure about that... I think it's difficult for Apple to fully lock out JB they can only patch up however it's been done at the moment, but if they could completely disable it I think they would.
@JamalFantazmoto: It's not about the availability of an app or feature, it's about who does it best. Skobble is free, but is hardly a solution that compares to Google Maps.
@avile: The reason iPhone's touchscreen feels better than most of the competition is because it has more points of contact.

@dgstan: Until Apple updates their firmware and reverses your ability to jailbreak your phone.... unless you don't mind using their old firmware.
@cinnamontoastcrunch: Adding on to your point, the iPhone (current generation) shouldn't even be eligible because they only win in battery life tests because they limit what the user can do. Under heavy use (iereal multitasking) the iPhone would likely drain battery a lot more quickly, but the fact that they disallow…
@Lord_Data: Hmm... interesting reply, but you're being way too easy on WinMo:
@freakshowtime: Not to mention, I don't see how having a task killer as an option would go against Android...
@SublimeAndEtc: I would argue that the previous article was slightly in favor of Android, and that an article could also be written with a bias towards iOS that it would win in. No matter what, having options is a win for everyone.
@vladgur: The original lifehacker article did not make that mistake. It was a reader's blog that misspelled category, and Lifehacker quoted his response.
@teh1andonlym0: Blackberry has a pretty loyal following though, and OS6 is coming out with a lot of copied features from the competition to make their phones more consumer friendly. I wouldn't be so quick to rule out RIM as a player in the game yet...
@dougdeep: Programming languages, how about android + 7 [code.google.com]
