I would have put it in the sports section but that’s only because that was my domain - would have been great to use as filler for slow news days!

Does/did the DT EICs typically make you stick to your beat? I was the sports editor of my college newspaper but I did all sorts of stuff that wasn’t sports related when I got the time. Any mention of a 911 and I would have delegated responsibilities to someone else until I was done with it!
You’re obviously just here to argue, but I’ll bite. I doubt there’s a great number of reputable sources describing the nuances associated with double parking. Whether or not you agree with it, multiple people have multiple definitions for the term. It’s all over the Internet. It’s used all over the world. It’s even in…
Perhaps it’s more common where you’re at since I’m noticing a good number of people responding to me saying they’ve never seen that or never thought about it. I do notice that I see a fair amount more car folks when I go to the gym. Also if you’re rocking an R32 I hope people are helping you keep it safe, sweet ride.
Thank you for your public service, Reverend.
Perhaps we’re not on the same page here but how am I taking up any more space than normal if I’m in a normal parking spot? I wasn’t referring to taking up multiple spots, just taking a spot next to another enthusiast’s vehicle. My car’s not super wide so I can give a good amount of space on one side without getting…
Is it? I hope so - that would increase my faith in humanity, even if only the slightest bit.
R.I.P., brother.
The revolution has begun!
Not if I’m next to it fully in an adjacent, actual spot. But still, I won’t park near them because it’s not worth risking being near them. People are too finicky about double parking. Case in point: above story.
that’s certainly a good point, that it may cause them stress, but I think I’ll take that chance over someone else parking there with ill intent. I have seen several times (especially in places like the dreaded Walmart parking lot) where people will park their huge truck or something else that’s been beat all to hell…
I’ve been worried about this because I don’t exactly keep the exterior of my vehicle (FiST) very clean at all times. The thing also shoots out brake dust like nobody’s business so the wheels look like they’ve never been washed within a few days of it actually being washed.
Well, I wouldn’t park next to someone double parked, so let’s hope that doesn’t happen. But I have always wondered if most people “get” what I’m doing. I drive a FiST, which has paper-thin paint that chips when the wind changes direction, so I’m obviously not doing it to protect my own vehicle. I’m too paranoid to…
I park next to classics all the time on purpose so that no one else can. I said this elsewhere that I do it to help, because I know I’m not going to hit the car and I know it will prevent someone else from being able to do it or, God forbid, one of those people that dings other cars on purpose to try and “prove a…
Maybe this is just me, but if I see a really nice car out by itself in a parking lot but the lot’s starting to fill up and it’s just a matter of time before people will be parking next to it, I will go park next to it and give it a good margin of space to create something I like to call a car-bro buffer. Do other car…
I’d rather have the car in front of it
This is a tactic used by many of the highest-volume dealerships in the country. It’s extremely effective to offer to buy a vehicle that’s in for service, especially if that service is mad expensive. A decent offer on the old car and a reasonable price on a new car and many people jump on it because they’re under the…
“Hey Farva, what’s the name of that restaurant you like with all the goofy shit on the walls and the mozzarella sticks?”
The hashbrowns are the only reason to visit a McDonalds in the morning.
