No, I don’t think anyone is looking into it. The reason is that none of the technology is new, and none of it has ever been known to cause any issues. Electric motors are in everything you own, seems fine.

Electric and hydrogen use much of the same technology (both are fully electric drive trains). The only difference is that hydrogen is essentially an incredibly complex battery.

One issue, Musk has said that the base Model X will only be $5k more than the base Model S. The current prices are for the fancy-pants versions that are getting sold on pre-order. We won’t see a base Model X until sometime next year.
I’ve heard that they added the urea system to make the cheat more believable. They realized it would be inconvenient for people to refill the system as often as needed, so it only activates during testing, and at a very low level at other times.
