I think pastiche is fun as hell when it's as self-aware as a Tarantino flick.  Say what you will about him, the man knows how to spin a yarn.

Battlestar put me through the wringer… In all my experience watching TV, I think long binge sessions with that show were the most exhausting.

Sheesh, I can't believe that just happened.

I really liked ParaNorman, and on a technical level it was landmark.  The facial animation pretty much blows away anything else that's ever been done in stop-motion, and the climactic scene is a showstopper.

If I had one vote to give it would be for Paperman in Best Animated Short. 

YES, I think sometimes we perceive a quality drop when it isn't always as pronounced as we want to believe.  I marathoned Peep Show about six months ago, and even though there might've been some weak patches, I didn't think there was any sort of precipitous drop off.

Haha, everyone complains about that, but I also wear my glasses like that a lot.  My vision is perfectly fine within like 4 or 5 feet so whenever I'm doing something at close range they're on my forehead.

Honestly! The product placement itself doesn't really bother me… it's a part of television that I'm willing to accept, but the delivery is so cringeworthy.
