Honestly! The product placement itself doesn't really bother me… it's a part of television that I'm willing to accept, but the delivery is so cringeworthy.

I agree completely. I mean, let's be real… a critique of the show's core concepts probably doesn't mean a whole lot to those of us who are still watching it in it's *tenth* fking season.

Amen! These really are four of the greatest games ever made.

I agree… I think for me that was the most shocking scene, simply because it's the moment where the show lets you know what you signed up for. That was also the point where I realized I probably wasn't leaving the couch until the first season was over.

Yeah! I had a conversation last week that New Girl hasn't really had much in the way of true recurring characters, opting instead for one-off appearances or characters that show up for a 3-4 episode relationship arc and then disappear.

Haha, the entrance section with Spaceship Earth, and the Monorails, and the aging early 80s futurist architecture pushes my retro-futurism buttons in all the right ways.

So I actually missed last season… is Kuniko basically in a single-elimination bracket now where you have to win a head-to-head every week to move forward?

This is a week late, but there's a lot of truth to that. I still run Vista (because laziness) on a machine from the tail end of that era. No problems whatsoever, mostly because I have 6GB of RAM and a quad core processor.
