You are ignoring the context that Booker is an enemy to both the Vox and Columians; enemy of the former because they are killing white oppressors, and the latter because he was labeled an anti christ. Booker doesn't have an investment in either side, he's caught in the middle doing his own thing.

I don’t have a problem with Nintendo giving us seemingly random games to pick from, after all; that’s how you find a diamond in the rough. But the consistency of it is what bugs me.

I’m with you, but some materials; like dragon scales, claws, and star fragments required for gear upgrades; are just too rare, and armor is just stupid expensive.
