So many formative moments spent in the shadow of that thing. My mind was blown when they added the SR71 next door. Still the second best aviation museum I've ever been to, right behind the Smithsonian. I need to get to the Air Force museum sometime soon.

I look forward to the episode of "Ridiculousness" that features this clip.

Sorry, my semantics were kind of fucked in that post. I meant powerglide+transbrake. Like...both, together. Not one or the other.

It seems to me like he's short shifting it a little? It's plenty fast for a streetcar, but if he just did a few more drivetrain mods (maybe a taller rear end or even a powerglide/ transbrake) It just might get into the 9s.

Yeah, so if your buddy in his Camaro was testing HIS car at the same time in the other lane... that would just be coincidence. No racing here fellas. Nothing to see here, move along.

This thing:

I kidna want to say that the "galaxie"(green car jsut past the 288 GTO is actually an old Aussie Ford Falcon XB.

The red car? Looks like a 550 speedster

Maybe? I dunno. I've only eaten American lake catfish, nothing that big. Wouldn't surprise me if it did though.

Very pretty. Almost makes me nostalgic for winter. It more makes me wish I had an LSD, snow tires, and a groomed ski slope to play on during the winter instead of an open diff, all seasons, and the occasional unplowed parking lot.

River Monsters! That show is awesome. Also, it's likely some form of catfish, but you can never be too sure on that show. It's usually catfish.

Do it man! Bracket racing is hilariously fun, even in slow cars. I mean... it can be like watching paint dry, but when you're in the car it's fantastic.

I work at a drag strip. Don't feel too bad - we had a guy "go long" in a stock 2012 Challenger, which was much quieter and slower than your training dragster. It was pretty awesome.

If you can't drive a GT3 hard, don't buy a GT3. That's the point. Get a boxster or a cayman (or a miata!) to learn on. Until you're faster than the car, know your limits.

If the police officer thinks someone is being threatened with great bodily harm or death that's the same as if the officer was threatened with such, and appropriate action can be taken. I believe maybe a cursory "Drop your weapon!" is recommended, but not required, in most police departments. :)

Not on your life my Hindu friend!

It glides as softly as a cloud!

Sounds like the Duke boys done upgraded and moved North.

SO.... CLEAN... Unfortunately, it's still not worth 13k. Maybe 10? Yeah, 10 sounds good. Somewhere in the realm of an E36 M3 for something way rarer but also way slower.

I might get run out of Jalop-town for this, but Im going to say it anyway - Wagon does not automatically mean better.
