How long does Tesla get to be a “startup”? 50 years?

eh.. a 100k tesla is not a ‘mass consumption’ vehicle. Cmon w/that mess.

everyman already drives a 50k truck so why the hell not.

‘Gran’ is short for grandmother. Therefore, BMW destroyed the meaning when they first started because:

For as slow as a stock CrossTrek is, I can’t even imagine what impact adding armor and larger tires has.  If I only had a dollar for every instance of “bump it!” within 50 feet of one of these...

I live near Detroit, and this year we have only taken 2 trips consisting of an over 250 mile single drive. One of those had a 1-hour dinner stop in the middle of it.

You should form a union!

It cracks me up that every time this topic comes up on this site, the same people saying they will never buy an electric because they might go on a long trip over 250 miles a couple times a year are the ones deriding pickup truck owners for buying a truck to haul things from home depot a couple times a year.

That really sucks for Dyson

At street prices, it’s a Golf R AND a base GTI for your other half to drive. Dear God, no.

As someone who is such a Subaru die hard that I’ve chosen a reference to the brand as my online handle for the past several years, please allow me to sayfuck all kinds of that.”

The headline could be better. My first thought after reading it was that this transgender person was made fun of in Chappelle’s special and later killed themselves- not that her and Chappelle were friends...

There’s definitely some “wanderlust” with range anxiety. I haven’t driven more than 300 miles in years, I’m with you, I’d rather fly. And even if I wanted to drive, it would be so infrequent that I could just rent a ICE and be done with it, if I have to drive it like its the cannonball run.

I think that cuts to the heart of range anxiety for most people in our large but also very urbanized country. People who can Level II charge either at work or overnight at home can do almost all their driving without worry. For long trips they can either plan ahead or rent a conventional car. (Or simply have a

I’m looking at an EV for my next daily driver. I commute 12 miles each way for work and no more than 50 miles around on the weekend. I will occasionally make the drive to a larger city, but they’re 100 miles each way. The car would be parked at a mall or grocery store long enough for me to top off.   I’d keep an ICE

I won’t buy an EV as long as I live in an apartment and can’t charge it.

There’s some games right now where 4 cores is a bottleneck at high settings/framerates, but they’re not very common really since 4 cores is so prevalent amongst PCs (thanks Intel! lol) So developers optimize for the most common setups, and 4 cores will therefore carry you for years longer, and especially if your CPU

Possibly a more pressing question: what are you doing snooping on your partner's phone?

There is no such thing as “woke culture”, it’s just people learning not to be assholes to each other.

So what exactly is the upside to all this horsepower?
