We’ve gone from being invisible (at best) to actively marketed to and it truly is amazing. A lot of these young folk have started to talk sht about companies using rainbow logos for June but I always try to remind them that at least they want our money now. They don’t know what it was like even 20 or so years ago when

Seems to be more about realizing that it won’t make sense to invest billions into all new platforms and ICE engines beyond 2025 when EVs seem to be the future of at least the luxury market. They just came out with new engines so I doubt we’ll ever see anything beyond updates to those going forward. Everything is

My craziest is what should’ve been a speeding ticket. Was late at night, no traffic at all, so I decide to open it up after turning onto a 3 lane highway (3 each way). I’m literally the only car on the road and then I see the flashing lights coming. Pull over, ready for my speeding ticket (had probably not hit 100 yet

I’m assuming shorter flights refer to any that are under an hour, so the equivalent of a 5 hour or less drive, maybe longer in Europe as you have higher population density. Assuming that trains are making regular stops along the way on a ~300-400 mile trip you could see that travel time getting pushed out to 7+ hours

Same, I never got it until well into my 30s. Then I got to the point in life where I could actually drive them and it all made sense. Had 2 so far.

Agree the price is the real issue here, comes off as a compliance car and not a real EV attempt.

I’m really glad this is being made, and am happy if they don’t stick too closely to the books. They’re terribly outdated now anyway and there’s lots to take from that can be translated to the screen in an interesting way. Something to look forward to after the disappointment of the Culture series getting canceled at

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and assume that the local office was told that they can use the fairgrounds after the agreement was made and that was simply passed on to their drivers. “We can stage at the fairground” vs “The agreement is for this specific section only”

They are Carmax with vending machines, specializing in mostly newer, lower mileage cars or hard to find higher end cars (although like everyone they’ve been forced to broaden their criteria in this environment). They’ll always give laughably low prices if the car doesn’t fit neatly into a data set that says they can

Seems really odd that they’d come out with an electric GV60 only to also come out with an eGV60 later. Maybe they’ll switch to the ‘e’ once every Genesis has an electric version? The whole Genesis rollout has been a huge cluster so who knows.

The ‘60', like every alphanumeric naming scheme, indicates that this is smaller than the 70, which is smaller than the 80. I’m guessing they are trying to counter the other smaller number indication - that it’s also cheaper. Being an EV it will probably end up costing more than the 70 or even 80 so they have to figure

It would seem that he left and re-entered the EU by driving through Serbia. I wonder if going through Romania would’ve been faster given that he would’ve stayed within the EU. Also Turkey is only nominally part of the EU with trade but not a full, open borders member.

Exactly, I rarely end up with the car I had in mind when I start looking.

Yeah no doubt, I remember when the whole Ghosn thing first hit the news it was reported that Nissan had already been working on projects behind his back. Based on everything that came out he was not exactly engaged in Nissan very much by then anyway. They must have had these updates planned well in advance because up

Agree, and you should be considering all those! After buying a string of 5 new cars in a row I replaced a 4 door with a used Boxster lol, replaced that later with a new 440i GC, went on to replace that with a Macan GTS. And now I’m intrigued by the GR-86, Z and 6cyl Supra. You should really explore anything you can

It’s definitely targeted at the Supra, but C&D has confirmed the specs on the sub $40k base model and it’s not bad. My point is that everyone has a ceiling, so if yours maxes out at the GR86 then obviously you can’t look beyond that. But you’re forgetting all the cross shopping that gets done in the other direction.

These comments always make me laugh. Every time I get the itch for a new car I drive just about anything that looks interesting. Price point only applies to those I can’t afford. Twice in the past I’ve replaced an existing car with one that cost significantly less because I just liked it more. If you’re shopping for a

Nissan is an exciting company again, something I haven’t felt about them in 30 years. They must’ve had these projects secretly in the works while they were working on getting Ghosn out. Even being revised and not all new they are pumping out much better vehicles fast. Really show how much they resented what Ghosn had

It sure seems like they aren’t wasting any time going back to the Nissan us older folks used to know and love since getting Ghosn locked up! And if using old bones gets them there quicker I’m all for it.

This car will never make sense for spreadsheet wars. It’s made to be fun from the ground up, and RWD+low weight is the only way to have the kind of fun this car provides.
