It’s definitely targeted at the Supra, but C&D has confirmed the specs on the sub $40k base model and it’s not bad. My point is that everyone has a ceiling, so if yours maxes out at the GR86 then obviously you can’t look beyond that. This car will never make sense for spreadsheet wars. It’s made to be fun from the ground up, and RWD+low weight is the only way to have the kind of fun this car provides. 

The reality is that Saudi oil is the most abundant on earth (thanks to Venezuela’s collapse) and costs about 3x less than getting oil from fracking (the method that allowed the US oil production boom). All Saudi Arabia has to do is open the taps and prices fall.
