Just a heads up, RES is now going into solid maintenance mode for now. A post was made literally yesterday, but the gist of it is, not enough hands to update/fix RES when Reddit screws something up or changes it’s API. It’s basically reliant on old.reddit.com, so if that goes down, RES goes as well. Unfortnate.

If you’re cooking with lump charcoal, sure, that’s pure wood. Same if you have a stick burner. If you’re using standard charcoal briquettes though, there’s fillers and binders that aren’t good for plants inside of them. I tend to use competition charcoal, no extra flavors or lighters, so that’s fine
