I've been wondering this as well. I always thought 'iPhone 3Gs' sounded horrible and was hoping they would just call them 'the new iphone'.

Apple sold the original 8 gb iPhone for $600, and then $400 without subsidy. Considering the upgrades and such this is a pretty decent deal.

My iPad wont show up either, Im using xcode 3 on an old PowerBook with Leopard. Not sure why yet.

And this is why monetary systems are obsolete. We need a resourse based economy like what Jacque Fresco of the Venus Project proposes. A 'bad economy' is just an idea, it's not a real thing. We still have scientists, food, houses etc, money is just an old idea getting in the way.
