Namibia hey? I’d be just packing a wetsuit and board.

I don’t think you really need a wheely bag tbh. The bags themselves weigh a lot more than a standard duffle. I’ve been really happy with my Patagonia black hole 60litre as it also has back pack straps and fits in an overhead locker.

he had a casting agent?

You Do know he’s in Ireland not the USA?

I was just thinking today about where all the old Jalop memes have gone!

Torch, I always enjoy your articles.. When Murilee Martin left a few years back I went a bit cold on the Jalops for a while but you have kept me hanging around. Cheers!

80'S GM j-car wagon as all the bodies were made in Australia.!

When in HCMC I like to go Citroen spotting

I think a Subaru Diesel would be on my list. Fuel economy is pretty important for me as I can’t carry much on my T3. I would do this soon but I can get registration for $100 a year as a historic vehicle with the original engine!

don’t forget the spare tyre is used as part of the crash structure in the vanagon!
Also don’t watch the youtube with the rusy old doka with a tonne in the back that they smash into a wall at 100mph. it’s not pretty.

I’ve been wanting to make a custom wagon coachbuilt from the latest Camry hybrid. would be perfect. the one you showed is the last wagon we got in Australia.

Bubble economy Japan is the best Japan. After the big financial crash in the early 90's things took a shade for the beige.

this is the correct answer. No surfers use convertibles. or soft tops.

sedans dude.

What if those things are your trousers and shirt? as the only place people walk around with their wetsuits on is on Kookoftheday. I don’t know one surfer with a soft top.

Not really. You want a car that is secure while you are surfing not open top. Because thieves

As a seasoned surfer you can’t go past a wagon, van or longish SUV. No one wants to leave boards on the roof unless you are doing a long drive. you just want to throw the board in the back and get moving. Not spend time putting multiple boards on and off the roof (very rare to travel with only one board) and have it

Wrong Corolla. The correct one is the all-trac

You are right about the last of the freelanders the ones I see around are driven buy enthusiasts and are pretty well looked after and diesel. When were a lot more expensive than Subarus and RAV4s and had a brand snobbery attached but without any perceived reliability.
Have you seen the youtube series ‘SOUP classic

and my 1991 Vanagon has a black steel dash but body coloured door interiors. It really ties the interior together

I think manual sliders were around a lot longer. Till mid ‘90s on some Toyotas etc and these thing defiantly had no AC.
