Just Get a Camry

Out of curiosity...Does The Concourse write these pieces based on the musical tastes of the author? I get the feeling, and I apologize if I am wrong, but these pieces read like planted marketing by A&R's trying to create an underground/viral vibe.

Yet the consensus is that the BRZ/FRS is underpowered which is why few Jalopnik Bro or Broette will buy one. That is double standard/rose colored glasses stuff.

Since 2001.

Nope...They are rolling around in 10 year old beaters lamenting the fact that some newly announced car doesn't have a minor option because they want it in 10 years when the car is affordable to them.

Jalopniks won't admit it but they are closely related to the "because JDM" enthusiasts that they look down upon.

Some Marketing Executive somewhere just got their wings. Or is high on so much coke that it gave him wings...whatever you get the picture.

The real reason Jalopnik bros and broettes will not admit to:

Rich Gang breaking up? Damn, My Hitta.

I had a 1990 GT 5 Speed as well. The car had all the typical issues (faded paint, exhaust manifold crack, etc..) but man did I love driving that thing. Those oscillating air vents were awesome!

Not one single 1st gen picture? The 1st gen had a 2.2l turbo making 145 hp and 190 ft/lb torque with a 5 speed transmission.

Jalonik wagons lovers are the hipsters of the automotive world. "Anti conformist" who all look the same. Very rare that they use the utility of a extra storage space but they get to thumb their noses at every Camry and Accord.

It is not that I am infallible human being. When I was sixteen I had a small fender bender where I hit the car in front of me because I was distracted (tight alley...looking to side to not hit a parked car). That was my fault for not paying attention to road in front of me and only had myself to blame. I was lucky

Or you could just pay attention to the road in front of you instead of looking at your iphone while driving. If you crash into some one in front of you it is because you were following too close or were not paying attention.

He also drives like a completely maniac and doesn't dress like your typical Maybach owner.

The only change that has happened is that Durant's PR team decide to "toughen up" his image in preparation of a potential move to a new market (remember ROC Nation now represents him so maybe NYC?). Deadspin writers get a half chub because Durant is now "keepin' it real" even though he is just changing his

Jalopniks want a brown AWD wagon version fully loaded for $25k. If auto manufacturers catered to the internet they would not make a profit and be out of business in a couple of years.

I would love to find an unmolested RSX Type S at reasonable price (for a twelve year old car) but those days are long gone.

A lot of rose colored glasses going on here. Celica's stop selling because the competition at that price level had gotten much better ( RSX, Bug Eye WRX, etc.) and those who could not afford to buy new were still living in the tuner's heyday of used Hondas.

Two white writers (and I am using the term loosely) battling each other on the nuances of racial inequality within a system that makes millions off free children's labor (Little League, Broadcasting rights, advertising money) regardless of race......a lot of white guilt is being projected from both sides.

Edmunds bought a CL65 (coupe, but same engine) and their experience was about the same. Flatbed twice, multiple ABC failure, CEL codes...etc. There last estimate for repairs was $16K (seemed high) but they still ended up paying $4,500 just to get it up and running (again).
