Fellow worm-haver, here. This is awful. It makes my ass itch just thinking about it. The idea of having to witness worms coming out of your child’s butt is probably the cincher for me never having kids.

That is enormously sad! Your poor hen, what a terrifying experience as a pet owner.
Wow! Impressive.
This is the best gif to illustrate this story. Thank you.
Yes. Every time my butt itches, I get a moment of “OH GOD ITS STILL INSIDE OF ME”. I have absolutely no idea if it was still alive. It did change colors (from an opaque white to light brown) in the time it took me to take it to the doctor’s office, though.
Usually people figure out they have a worm because they see baby worms in their poop. I never did. I think this one ate all of its babies to become a supermonster. But if you’re worried, just see if your doc will prescribe you the intestinal worm pill. I took that thing and literally all of my symptoms were gone…
So, the funniest part about this (to me) is that I had NO idea what this meant in terms of being contagious, so I called up my veterinarian and asked him, meekly, if there was any possibility that I could have exposed my cat to tapeworm and if so, how to check for that sort of thing. The answer is, no, you cannot give…
Luckily for residents of the US, it’s relatively difficult to get a tapeworm. Doctors see about 1,000 documented cases of it a year here. I felt really special to be a part of such a small segment of the population.
No! That jerk was just lingering, all those years, while I continued to have body issues! I gained lots of weight during that time, but I think mostly due to the office job.
Finally I get to share my story publicly in a setting where people WANT to hear it!!! In December 2014, I started having really massive stomach cramps. I thought perhaps I had eaten something bad, or was PMSing, but these cramps were constant. I couldn’t sleep, I stopped being able to eat. I couldn’t stand up…
There’s a group in Seattle called Redeeming Soles that was started by a fellow who was homeless at the time and noticed just how many of the other men at his shelter were wearing crappy, broken shoes and getting terrible foot infections from needing to always wear wet shoes and socks. He started collecting shoes and…
The worst recently was in front of my boss. I’ve gained a lot of weight in the last few years and people asking if I’m pregnant has become a regular thing. Like, at least once a month- coworkers, clients, strangers. My lower abdomen is just where my fat is building up! Rationally I know it’s fine, there’s nothing…
