God I know I’m going to regret jumping in here, but your comment is completely idiotic.

I’m not sure about those numbers. Diarmaid made a good comment talking about the total amount of debt (around €300b). 300b debt, 0.5b EU citizens, means €600 per EU citizen. When you’re counting every person (babies / children, retirees, people in poverty, students), then for a lot of people, that’s an unrealistic…
Even if this campaign raises €1.6b, it will not help a huge amount. It is one payment on their total debt which is something like €300b. That means that €1.6b is less than 1% of the debt that Greece owes.
I was just answering Jeremiah’s question.
Uh, yeah... see my second paragraph. I fully agree. Thanks for pinning down the numbers.
The guy who posted the page claims that if every EU citizen kicked in 3 Euro, they’d hit the goal. He claims there are around 500mm EU citizens. I haven’t fact checked that but it seems reasonable.
From the Daily Mail (apparently she’s divorced... hmm... wonder why):
The cheating by Baidu was nothing sophisticated, more akin to an initial stolen glimpse at the answers, which was followed by more of the same when it went unnoticed. Even that makes it sound worse than it was. Part of the competition involved looking at the answers anyway: someone in the Baidu team simply did it more…
Thanks! Have been trying to figure out why DO was A.
Am I missing something? Like slapping on wifi and a camera (and carbon fiber!) and then jacking up the price by 6x!?
I love you.
Lol, seriously though, I’m so glad I read through this inane chain for that golden Hail Mary at the end.
Nice, thank you!
Thanks!
Homemade gelcaps? Intriguing. Care to share the technique (or point me towards a good post of said technique)?
My
And now I know why my conference call was free (1-800) - thanks!
Thanks for the clarification. I did know the state was Quintana Roo. When I said “the Yucatan” I meant “the Yucatan peninsula”. Sorry I was imprecise. It is a bit clearer to a native English speaker since I said “the”. We would almost never use “the” before a state or city name, but would usually use “the” before a…
One other thing. When traveling (especially to Tulum!), consider calling via Skype. Of course Skype to Skype is free, but Skype to other digital lines also seems to be free (based on the 1 hour conference call I had to dial into from Tulum), and Skype to land lines is incredibly cheap... calling the US from Mexico has…
Haha, ok. I guess the tall skinny white dude from Williamsburg who chatted me up when I told the vendor “Estamos de Nueva York” was just one of the many others.
