It’s you who miss the point of the article. No one is “blaming progressives” solely for the existence or perpetuation of racism. The article simply states that can be and often are racist, and that they need to take responsibility for their own racism. Progressive fragility doesn’t help.
But this is acting like they’re the worst group here and ignoring the rest.

The people calling the cops on this man could get him killed. And they’d turn around and excuse it with “well, he shouldn’t have blah blah blah.”
It comes back to the old trope: in the (supposedly overtly racist) South, they don’t mind how close you get as long as you don’t get too big, while in the (supposedly liberal) North, they don’t care how big you get as long as you don’t get too close.
Actually they don’t.. they vote and avocate causes that benefit themselves.. Without regard to others... Fortunately most people forget that many policies that benefit them, also benefit others because guess what.. Human = Black.
You raise a great point but, to quote a meme, why not both? I don’t see why they have to “choose the lesser of two evils” between voting for POC and not resorting to stereotypes in personal interactions with POC.
Because progressives believe that that label exempts them from having racist views. If you don’t specifically address the fact that people use progressivism as a shield, then you aren’t actually asking them to confront their own views.
