Since day 1, Tesla had offered their charger technology royalty free and has stated they would be happy to allow other mfgs to use their stations (with I assume royalties or since other $ thing - not for free).

For all of you wishing for just hdmi ports, know that I had a linux media player that would randomly throw ‘off’ and ‘on’ commands at one of my sets via HDMI - One time enough to glitch it so it would NOT turn back on. I had to get into the service menu to clear it.

THIS! A good slicer (and I mean you spent several hundred dollars on a 10 or 12 inch one- or got lucky like not2lucky) makes a world of difference.
