Yeah this is total bullshit. Most likely a *round* mylar balloon, or something similar.

I’m practical enough to know that there’s no real single “forever car,” but there’s a certain benefit to going with a well known entity.
Do we really have much evidence that this would be safer in the hands of the federal government than a private company?
Right wing asshole politician:
Low price point is huge factor. I can go to my local Mexican place for breakfast and get a delicious and filling meal (homemade tortillas, homemade sauce, homemade everything!) for less than $6-7. Not going to get this quality of food for that price point at many places these days.
Welding, at a dealer, seems like a pretty sketchy fix.
Agreed - 100% this is about monetization.
I avoid modem/router combo units like the plague, as having a separate modem and router is much more versatile. They don’t necessarily have to be in the same room, so if your cable outlet location is less than optimal, you can put the router in a better location and run Ethernet between them.
The problem with the + or . approaches is that a savvy person will simply remove the dots and anything after the plus sign.
The Gmail + trick has unfortunately been around long enough that half the sites now refuse to acknowledge that they are valid email addresses.
Another major feature of wired, while definitely advanced lvl, is power over ethernet. If you want security cameras, you can run ‘only’ the ethernet cable and not need a power source for the cameras.

The College Board’s monetization of higher education and disregard for personal privacy is abhorent. It is also par for the course for the systemic abuse and exploitation of college students. Will it ever change?
Can you guys seriously stop peddling such garbage deals? A 12 year old laptop for $300? It hasn’t recieved a software update in 5 years.
Lets not forget the constant hawking of 10 year old iPads as well
This type of crappy “buy this sub-par product for X amount off so we get a kickback from whoever’s selling it” thing started after Lifehacker got bought out by Ziff Davis a few months ago.
Don’t buy this. It’s so old it’s a security risk, since it gets absolutely no OS updates, and most programs probably won’t run on a Macbook that old. Plus, it’s on Apple’s “Obsolete” list, meaning you won’t be able to get any support or repairs for it. Even a cheapo Windows laptop will be miles better than this tech…
I’m curious if a condensate pump may be better suited for the drain side - it uses a float switch to operate, so less risk of it running dry and no need to setup timing. It will be a little more expensive than a cheap pond pump, but I’m thinking may be better suited for the job?
