Seriously. It has to be either lazy coding (not protecting their systems from malicious scripts pasted in password fields) or that they don’t want to train their support employees on the names of those characters for when they ‘remind’ users their passwords over the phone.

Most ‘hackers’ are going for low-hanging-fruit right? If deciphering my password formula has to be done by hand (so to speak) then they must really be after me specifically.
