I believe your 12 year old niece is the future... and that means it is a bright future indeed.

I'm glad Demi and, to a lesser extent, Joe Jonas are talking about the fucked-up things that went on during that period of Disney history, but I'd like it even more if they'd name names of the adults who enabled and made millions off their drug addiction, mental anguish/instability, and other various issues. Hold the

I have long thought that what the poor woman really needs is to get the hell out of the entertainment machine and go live a normal, boring life in suburban nowhere for about a decade. My heart breaks for her.

HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF A GOOD PERSONALITY BECAUSE YOU OBVIOUSLY DONT HAVE ONE

These people are not only massive racists, they're terrible readers. Rue's brown skin is mentioned like a dozen times in the book. And even if her skin color weren't mentioned, that doesn't mean we MUST default to white. Ugh.

I'm beginning to think the NBC is actually just a 30Rock joke..... Makes sense, right?!

I look forward to the Sunday part of the trilogy where she's at college, and panics about finals, but ends up just drinking bow wine and marathoning netflix with her roommate.

I just want to say that I think it's awesome that NBC attempted something different by doing live TV and I wish there was more risk taking. I fear more negative feedback discourages this.

yeah, I have been maintaining the fact that whoever has been doing demi's makeup for a while now is going with a color that has entirely too much yellow or something. It just looks waxy and she's got lovely skin so it's a shame.

I really like Demi Lovato. She seems much more comfortable rocking that look than Miley-Come-Lately with the whole Bangerz and Terry Richardson thing.

Example: No one is discussing the impending Hiddleston or Gosling backlash...

The world will always do its absolute best to knock down any independent woman a peg or two to keep her in her place. I don't see this article discussing 'has been' male actors getting the "backlash" treatment? I guess because that never happens.

No, I don't like having drunk drivers on the road, and I don't know how you got the impression that I do. But your choice of example is actually a really good counterpoint to the discussion we're having here. We didn't throw up our hands and say "oh well, there will always be drunk drivers, so stay off the roads at

But that's where your logic fails. You assume there's nothing we can do to stop rapists from being rapists. You assume that all rapes are the same and can be prevented by the behavior of the victim.

but a lot of rapists do not consider themselves rapists or consider what they've done rape or non-consensual. telling guys "hey don't feel up that passed-out girl, that's sexual assault" is MANY times met with "wtf are you talking about, no it's not."

you must be delightful at parties.

How about: DONT RAPE PEOPLE. Go out, meet some nice people. If you're interested in having sex, make sure you've got the full consent of the other person.

So what other behaviors do women need to abstain from, in your estimation, to avoid being raped? List format is fine.

Only drunk people get raped?

Here's an idea, don't rape. Did you know sometimes a drink hits you harder and faster than it has before? Sounds like you don't know that. Well, it happens. Sometimes I can drink two long island iced teas and be just fine. I have had one before and got super drunk. So, yeah. Just don't rape.
