The thing about Kanye is that people hate him for being himself, and not pretending to be a quiet, polite celebrit who does what’s expected of them. He happens to be the kind of person who needs to be overly confident and believe in his work, and the people around him, and he comes off like an asshole. He wants

Me too re: weird patriotism. I gotta say . . . I could never hate on the Kardashians, or the Jenners, even back in 2006. Despite all of their reality tv/ dash/ tabloid / marriage fame, they are like this big beautiful modern American family that supports in each other in any and all pursuits.

They addressed it last night, that for now, he is still Bruce and is using male pronouns. He did refer to “Her” during the interview, almost like a separate identity for now, but also said that this was the last interview he would do as Bruce.

I don’t want to make this about me but .. two days ago, I told someone off for using the word tran*y and was instead subjected to more transphobic commentary, and this was someone who I was close to, and I was coming out to them. I identify as genderqueer and this interview & along with what I had to go through two

I am so happy for him. Forty years ago, I was a little girl who wanted to be Bruce Jenner. I wish I had known how much he wanted to be more like me. He embodied strength and endurance, and still will. I am giddy with delight that he is open and getting to be accepted and loved for himself.

So, I’m like 13, and my mother and my aunt have tickets to go see The Eagles; Hell Freezes Over Tour. My aunt gets some sort of dire illness so I get subbed in to see Don Henley et al at an open, outdoor ampitheater. My Mom and I are in the back/lawn/cheap seats and there is some...doobage around us. I get passed a

I tried to hit on Jonah Hill when I was blackout drunk in the VIP section of a vampire weekend show and his response was, “You should probably drink some water.”

I went to my first concert when I was nine years old. Huey Lewis and the News, playing the Hult Center in Eugene, Oregon. Huey walked out on the stage at the beginning and said “We’re here to talk about Sports” and nerf balls rained down from the ceiling. During “Heart of Rock and Roll,” where he’d usually shout

Good. Instead of talking about qualifications, we’re talking about his body and eating habits.

There should be a correction. In one of the three cases brought by women, he was found responsible. He appealed, and the complainant could not attend the hearing since she had already graduated, and so those charges were dropped. Dropped due to a scheduling technicality that Columbia didn’t seem to care about.

Also, there’s this, from the first linked article:

As we reported in February, Nungesser was found not responsible in the alleged rape by the campus disciplinary board. Two other women also accused Nungesser of sexual assualt; the board found him not responsible on those charges as well. Another accuser, a male student, says he filed a complaint against Nungesser with

Eh. I think this is just a thing famous people do anymore. “I was a geek, a loner, shy,” etc. etc. to endear themselves to the public. If there had been as many nerds back in my day as those that claim to have been now, I would have had a LOT more friends than I actually did.

because she’s “immature.”

Whenever I see I picture of Taylor Swift my immediate reaction is to feel a deep longing to be skinny... and pretty... and white.

From the People article re: Hillary Clinton, that chick who “made her cry” sez:

“She says she is passionate about avoiding gluten, dairy and coffee, but doesn’t really understand how cancer works.”

But affirmative action and black kids are destroying American colleges
