They already are begging the blue states for money all the time. The only reason the US can’t balance the budget is because the red state leeches suck up so much more tax money than they pay in. 

My neighbor dailies a lifted, full kit 2500 “vanlife” Sprinter that he has to park in the driveway because it's too big for the garage on his 4500 SQ ft house. I would agree, but e bikes with big range tend to be up in the 60s and 70s unless you spend $7500 or more. Even over $10k, you’re not getting under 30 lb. Add in that this is a fat bike, with 3 pounds of extra rubber at 5 inch wide tires, I’m not offended.
