I live on the fringe of a metro area in the upper Midwest. I don't feel sorry for them, because every time gas prices drop for more than a few months, they celebrate by going out and buying a bigger truck and/or more gas powered toys, then get mad and complain that they can't afford gas when the prices go back up.…

My coworker listens to Hannity all day long and I love how Hannity complains that Biden is doing nothing for the common man buying gas and then when Biden wants to grab from the oil reserve to lower prices he complains about that as well. The GOP never ceases to amaze me with their bullshit.

Can you imagine the bloodbath this comment section would have looked like when leaded gas was phased out?

I pay property taxes on my land and it will go up if the value of my land goes up. Maybe we should have stock taxes to make the whole “stocks are like houses” a reasonable comparison.
