On the contrary, I haven't forgotten any of the bad things he's done. I'm focused far more on the fact that he has repeatedly done ANYTHING and everything to preserve Cersei's happiness and safety. Raping her would seem to be in direct conflict with that.

It bothers me far more that they aren't even being true to the characters THEY have created on the show. A man who gets his hand cut off for preventing the rape of a woman he barely knows, then jumps into a bear pit to save that same woman would NOT rape someone he loves because she's being mean to him.
