I’m a huge track fan and Gatlin winning bothers me immensely. I know he served his suspension. I think there is long term benefit for juicing, similar to what we saw from Lance’s return to the TdF in 2009. Other sprinters are likely dirty but they have the decency to not fail the tests.

His stride is unbelievable. Everyone else can move their limbs at the same speed, his stride just goes further each time.

“Getting to peak speed THAT fast from a crouch.”

Agreed.

Yes, it’s very disappointing Andre wasn’t there. I was sure he would have taken it. Poor kid.

I’ll have to politely ask you to fuck off. Why doesn’t anyone ever say this bullshit about human/fish Michael Phelps?

I will add that it would shock me if Gatlin is clean. 12 years between world titles? Not sure the human body is capable of that.

If failing a test for banned drugs means guilty, and not failing drug tests proclaims innocence... then yes I suppose that’s exactly what I’m saying.

The fastest human of all-time loses his farewell race to two Americans, including the dirty anti-Bolt named Gatlin.

Bolt’s lack of injury and trailing off at age 30 are just about the best proof that he was always clean.

Yo fuck Justin Gatlin.

1. How do you reconcile your blistering hot take with the fact the MLS all-stars play top-flight Euro squads and don’t completely embarrass themselves and the league in the process? They just lost in PKs to Real Madrid. A top-ranked MLS squad could easily hang in the Championship level of the FA

Amazing how a league that’s been around a sports-saturated country since 1993 can’t compete with a league that’s been the cultural core of a country since 1888. They must all be con men. That can be the only answer.

...where do you think those top-tier NCAA players end up?

So you don’t like...soccer as a sport? Weird that you’re commenting here then!

Yeah, the World Cup and UCL have never been decided on PKs!

MLS is fine. It’s never going to be a top tier league. It’s not going to implode in some TV revenue bubble burst. They just signed a new sponsorship deal with Adidas that increased that revenue stream by 3x. Small steps.

This is the worst take.

Welcome to today’s edition of Deadspin Shits on MLS, featuring biased reporting and a shoddy handle on facts.

I’m not really into ‘smart billy haisley’ either.
