Announcers doing the “boy, you hate to see violence” thing during a game that literally kills its participants will never cease to amaze me.

“The Pride Lands of Kenya. A place you think about so little, you didn’t even realise that this is a picture of Mozambique.”

He’s playing Mufasa. "Scar, you're going to throw me in the wildebeest stampede.  I see you doing it, I know you're doing it, Stop It!"

The guy with the gun didn’t elect Trump. There arent enough of him.

Wrong, you found the guy who can't quite break into the security guard game.

Found the cop.

Just watched this so I’m sure this has been said already but I LOOOVED them using the Lost season premiere style opening of a big reveal character hidden behind them waking up and going through their routine listening to a song. It made me nostalgic and surprisingly pumped to see Doug at the same time.

I dunno...the ad’s description is a bit ambiguous and could also be interpreted as the car is like the one Barb drove in the show. And presumably there’s no proof of authenticity. CP.

I noticed this as well!! Right down to the Mama Cass.

How has everyone missed the totally obvious and totally great Lost homage at the beginning as Doug was introduced in the same way Desmond was introduced in the second season of Lost?

Perhaps one of the greatest condemnations of the “new” av club is the fact that this review doesn’t even mention the extended LOST reference in the beginning — it was a whole sequence for christ’s sake! — and it barely gets a passing mention in the annotations. How far the mighty have fallen!

If you can understand what someone has said, typed or written - don’t correct them on spelling or word use unless that’s a function of your job.

Absolutely, especially with the Mama Cass song, echoing the wonderful S2 cold open.

Continuing the Lost allusions; I thought Doug Fourcett’s morning routine was filmed like and somewhat thematically linked to Desmond’s routine in the bunker. Gotta push the button to save the world.

Biggest laugh of the night? Michael shushing Janet when Doug cries for assitance with the snail first aid.

Dude, it’s cool. He has French friends.

But seriously, what is this? Is the author bothered that the newly elected congresswoman is acting like a politician and glad-handing?
