The French (ok, maybe just my friends) also say lol aloud to express lighthearted disdain or sarcasm towards bad jokes, usually in the driest tone possible, with optional rolling of eyes or smartass smirk. I love it.
If you’re in Rome on a Sunday, and decide to visit the crowd favorite Trastevere, do NOT miss the Mercado at Porta Portese. It is a super huge flea market/bazar (the size of small town, really) and it is overwhelming and crazy and frightening and amazing all at the same time. Got some great vintage sunglasses there.
