You mean the region that is home to something like 90% of the fresh surface water in the continent?

I never watched the show, but I always thought she was very attractive in a “doesn’t look like every other girl in Hollywood” way. When you see a picture of her, you immediately know who you are looking at.

I still remember one of the thrills from seeing the original trailer for the Fellowship of the Ring was that during that “hero moment”, you could easily identify each member of the fellowship at a quick glance, so well were the characters both cast and costumed.

Obviously this is early still, before I’ve seen a real episode, but I can’t really get over just how banal this all seems. I mean, the environment looks nice, but the actors, and the lines that they’re delivering, seem very... mediocre, generic fantasy to me. I had no idea AT ALL that that guy was supposed to be

The old trope of “a mother in 1966 Baltimore who decides to become an investigative journalist after being drawn to an unsolved murder.”
So it’s Nat Of Baltimore. Can’t wait to hear how she handles the regional accent.

These extortionists were a bit confused and thought this was a remake of Shymalan’s Lady In The Water.  They assumed they’d be heroes for shutting this down.

if you know Baltimore and that means something to you”

I had a similar experience- it resulted in me having no friends in 8th grade, which was hard, but I still count myself lucky.

Oh, that was absolutely the correct response. Yelling ‘Get your fucking hands off me!’ or ‘Why are you touching me?’, are also correct responses. He may try to brush it off as you overreacting, and some of the other boys/men might agree with him, but every.single.girl.or.woman will be cheering you on, even if they are

Yes, it was absolutely the right response. Because it’s likely that not only did no boy ever touch you again, but that particular boy probably didn’t touch any more girls without checking to see if they were OK with it first.

The right response? Probably not.

This happened to me once. I seized the offending hand and bent its little finger back (Mum taught me to do this, since the UK was in the throes of another pedo panic). Taunts of ‘lezzer’ pursued me for the rest of my school career, but no boy ever touched me again.

Thanks for sharing, this immediately drew a correlation for me. I listened to an interview with a psychologist breaking down predator behavior re. selecting targets for abuse and he said “the kid who is a known tattletail is not the one a predator will go after.” It’s chilling to think even these child-quasi-predators

I remember kids at PE sneaking into the parking lot and playing this behind the cars. I remember being excluded and being informed by a nicer girl that I wasn't invited because the boys thought I would tell. I remember being mildly hurt but not too bothered because I didn't like them anyway. As an adult I'm pretty

Loving or hating Lena Dunham feels so 2013.

Exactly.  While his mostly know, perhaps unfairly, for villainous roles, he’s fantastic as Cratchit.

Oh yeah, that was him. And I’ve seen that Christmas Carol the most because my mom is a George C. Scott fan.

Oh no! Warner was always one of my favorites!

The producers say she is not coded to be neurodivergent”
